Mainstream Affordable All-Electric Car

Nissan is calling its new electric car—the Nissan LEAF —the "world's first affordable, zero-emission car." And with a post-federal incentive price of about $25,000—plus local and state incentives that could reduce it even further—the small EV is priced to sell. The LEAF is a well-equipped, all-electric hatchback that seats five adults and can travel about 100 miles on a single charge.[via]

Bassist TV on the Radio, Gerard Smith, died Wednesday due to lung cancer, the group said in a statement.
Gerard Smith was 36. He died almost a month after it was announced that struggled against the disease. When the news about the condition of Gerard Smith, the group said they had health insurance, a lot of attention from doctors and improvements had been “enormous.” But Smith could not accompany them on tour that began to promote his latest album “Nine Types of Light.”
In a recent interview with The Associated Press, members of the group refused to talk about the illness of bassist respect for him.
“We are very sad to announce the death of our dear friend and band mate Gerard Smith, after a difficult fight against lung cancer,” the band said in its website. “We will miss him terribly.”
The group canceled its concerts in the coming days, beginning with the date they had scheduled for Wednesday in Detroit.
Gerard Smith said in a interview that he worked as a subway musician in New York when he joined the alternative group, which has been recognized by critics for albums such as “Return to Cookie Mountain” and “Dear Science.”
Gerard Smith said in an interview in 2008 with the publication The Brooklyn Rail, on the way the lead singer, Tunde Adebimpe, discovered him and invited him to join them.
“I saw the movie Tunde ‘Jump Tomorrow’. I was super addicted to the cinema at that time. A year later he was playing on the subway platform, here at Bedford station and he would not let me give money. Then as to recognize him, until finally I realized and said, ‘Hey, you go out in that movie’. The film meant a lot to me, especially because it came a black actor living in a slum, and there was plenty policy it, “he said. “He played a great human being and not only was a black actor, so it meant a lot to me.”
Gerard Smith grew up in New York and studied art in high school but dropped out.
“I went through a difficult time, to say the least, towards the end of my studies in arts,” told the magazine LA Record in 2008. “I realized I was one of the few, if not the only black student in arts and I saw him in the artistic world.”

sexy models

In 3D computer graphics3D modeling (also known as meshing) is the process of developing amathematical representation of any three-dimensional surface of object (either inanimate or living) via specialized software. The product is called a 3D model. It can be displayed as a two-dimensional image through a process called 3D rendering or used in a computer simulation of physical phenomena. The model can also be physically created using 3D Printing devices.
Models may be created automatically or manually. The manual modeling process of preparing geometric data for 3D computer graphics is similar to plastic arts such as sculpting.[via]

ATLAS SHRUGGED MOVIE

PJTV interviews those who attended the NYC world premiere of the Atlas Shrugged movie

Atlas Shrugged movie now on Drudge Report

The Drudge Report — arguably the most influential news aggregation site in existence, with over 30 million visits in the past 24 hours alone — currently links to a review by Kyle Smith in the NY Post titled “Rand old time for Ayn adherents.”
Though not entirely favorable, the review makes some good points. It begins:
In “Atlas Shrugged,” it’s 2016 America. The Dow has fallen below 4,000, gasoline prices are through the roof and infrastructure is falling apart. High-speed rail looks like the future. Government denounces selfish corporate interests and concerns itself mainly with dividing the dwindling wealth.
This isn’t loony-bin stuff: Attention must be paid.
Though a bit stiff in the joints and acted by an undistinguished cast amid TV-movie trappings, this low-budget adaptation of Ayn Rand’s novel nevertheless contains a fire and a fury that makes it more compelling than the average mass-produced studio item.
He also points out:
The subjects the film deals with are fascinating, important — and almost completely ignored at the movies. Even “The Social Network,” the most acclaimed business movie of last year, placed the building of one of the world’s most valuable companies in the background of a personality dispute and some whining about club membership. “Atlas Shrugged” wants to start an argument with you, to force you to (in Rand’s often-repeated words) “check your premises.”    [via]
